Bandit 2009- 3/5/2024
Bandit, Our Big white, black Cat, more than a Cat, my "Baby" who kissed, and told you exactly what was on his mind, by his cries. You are immediately still missed.
I could not stay.
I had to go.
Bandit slept on my bed last night. Usually he camps out at night in the big chair by the stove.
He wasn’t hungry this morning.
He sat at the foot of my bed, and I sat next to him. Petting him on his big head along his cheek bones.
His cries were so soft and so..
Not his usual strong cries.
He could not stay.
He had to go.
Oceans well up my eyes.
I have no skin I am an ocean of soul
Memories stream 15 years where did they go
He knew, saying in his own ways, Good byes.
7 am, I have 15 minutes to spend,
He got off the bed and layed low and slow.
Bandit, my companion, eternal friend!
I told him it was ok to go.
Go say hello to Smokey, your best friend.
Tell Fluff hello
Gone like the wind
I had to Go
I wanted to stay
On the road again.
Tuesday 3/5 Please, please, Bandit stay,… stay
I will be back as soon as I can
I placed a towel over him
Turned the portable heater ….ran.
Drove down the road again
He was at peace
White flaming cross on his forehead.
Black silky nose, ears, and tail
Oh Dear God Please
Carry him to where he sails
Huge long whiskers, never in a hurry wails,
The strangest cries ever heard!
Bandit is quiet dreaming still
Bandit I will be back….
20 minutes after leaving him
2 Canadian Geese make it a point to fly right over my windshield
Finally back again…
Ran to his first chair by stove, ran into the bedroom
400 miles I raced home
Big paws, long legs stretched out, ……..gone
Gone too, too soon.
I had to go,
I coudn’t stay
He had to go.
He couldn’t stay
Heartbroken
Tears are the only way
I was just hoping…..hoping on hope
Just another night, another day
Bandit, now I know, looking back tracing every last moment
Sometimes moody, and most the time sweet and gentle
Moving slower these days
Had his owns ways
He was saying Good bye
These days was watching him lose his balance,
His muscles never in a hurry walking
Good Bye
Bandit in forever peace his sweet voice silence
Good Bye Bandit I Loved you and you Loved me.
Brought tears to my eyes.
As a life long ailurophile and caregiver to a succession of fabulous felines, when The Cat Goddess calls them home, the grief and mourning process is as intense as for a human.
Our fur babies are precious loving beings, part of the family, they never live long enough, but their presence in our lives is to be cherished in our hearts forever and worth the anguish of their crossing over too soon!
Crying.
My beloved cat too....will never get over it.
