Really liked that about Bandit. So hard to let go.

I believe some animals pick us. Absolutely.

My wee puppy dog Charlie was black with a white spot. He was a mere 10 months when he was killed by a car. We were out on our usual walk out in the country on a dead end road.

I saw a man walking ahead of us.

I got a nervous feeling in my gut..I felt oll at ease. I said "come on Charlie we ll come back later.

Upon our drive back to town I spotted this other trail we used to walk on so decuded we d go there instead for a change of scene.

We were walking and enjoying the sounds of yhe birds singing. Charlie was darting all abour. I stopped to adniire a grey herring bitd I saw nor too far on the distance.. I stood there awhile gaxzng in delight. Then I couldnt see Charlie so I whistled loudly. He usually came running.

Next thing I hear a car hitting something and Charlie sreaming in pain. He must of ran back on the road chasing a squirrel or smelling something that enticed him. Later that night he died.

I was devasted. I was struggling for 4 or 5 days crying like the rain.

Then when I was outside a young kittten was there. He was also nlack with white spor like Charlie. Wr playef tigether for awhile

"Where did you come from" I said. You are so young; whete is your Mother. I asked him to stay but he took off. Another day he came by to my delight. I asked him.if he wanted to come into.the house and stay if he liked. He left. I called out Come back anytime and you can live with me!

Another day I come home and he was sprawlled so gracefully on my patio lounge chair. He looled so regal; lile Cleopatra I thought.

When I went to go into the house he followed me this time. Simon. He never left and he will be 9 this Septmber. He came to rescue me. He Chose me! Thank you God!
